Fans of CBS' The Late Show with David Letterman are in for an additional treat when they obtain tickets to the popular late night show: a chance to tour the iconic Ed Sullivan Theatre.

A story in the New York times tells of the iconic theatre's hitory. The Ed Sullivan Theatre was built in 1927 by Arthur Hammerstein as a memorial to his father, legendary theatre director and producer, Oscar Hammerstein, who passed away in 1919. Designed by architect Herbert J. Krapp, the theatre is housed on the ground floor of a 13-story building. Gothic-style architecture awaits theatre patrons as they tour the auditorium where CBS films Letterman's popular late night show.
