THE FANTASTICKS originally opened at New York's Sullivan Street Playhouse on May 3, 1960 and played for an astonishing 17,162 performances and 46 years. There have been over 11,000 productions in the United States in over 3,000 cities and towns in all 50 states. Internationally, more than 700 productions have been staged in 68 nations.
On August 23, 2006, the new off-Broadway production of THE FANTASTICKS opened at the brand new Snapple Theatre Center under the direction of co-creator Tom Jones. On May 1, 2007, "American Idol" favorite Anthony Fedorov will assume the role of "Matt" and BROADWAYWORLD.COM will be there every step of the way to give you an exclusive "behind the scenes" peek at Anthony's "Fantastick" journey.
