'Beauty' Star Osmond Featured on WPLJ Radio, Sept. 21

Beauty and the Beast star Donny Osmond will be a featured guest on "The Rocky Allen 2nd First Anniversary Show" on WPLJ radio this Thursday, September 21st.  The show will be broadcast live from the Hard Rock Café in Times Square from 3pm – 7pm.  WPLJ can be found at 95.5 on the FM dial.

Osmond begins performances tonight, Tuesday, September 19th, as Gaston in Disney's Beauty and the Beast at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street) for a limited 9-week engagement.  Sarah Uriarte Berry also begins performances on September 19th, starring opposite Donny Osmond as Belle.

In 2006, Beauty and the Beast marked several major milestones.  On April 18th, the musical celebrated its 12th anniversary on Broadway.  The production will played its 5,000th performance on Tuesday, June 20th.

The musical is currently the sixth longest running musical in Broadway history.  More than twenty million people have seen the show in over twenty productions worldwide.  The original cast recording is currently available on Disney Records.

As of September 19th, Beauty and the Beast, now in its 13th year on Broadway, will feature Steve Blanchard as the Beast, Uriarte Berry as Belle, Osmond as Gaston, Stuart Marland as Lumiere, Jeanne Lehmann as Mrs. Potts, Christopher Duva as Cogsworth, Jamie Ross as Maurice, Meredith Inglesby as Babette, Mary Stout as Madame de la Grande Bouche and Aldrin Gonzalez as Lefou.  Trevor Braun and Marlon Sherman alternate in the role of Chip.

The performance schedule is as follows: Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday – Saturday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 1:30pm and 7pm.
