Beatles Tribute Concert LET IT BE Ends Broadway Run Today

The Broadway engagement of Let It Be concludes today, Sunday, September 1 at the St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street) following 46 performances and 9 previews. This Beatles concert experience, since it opened, has played to over 50,000 audience members. LET IT BE began previews Tuesday, July 16th and officially opened Wednesday, July 24th.

The Broadway engagement was originally scheduled to run through December 29th. However, after summer sales proved to be more challenging than expected, the producers opted to utilize the cast, physical production elements, and other resources to fulfill worldwide demand, instead of awaiting the more traditionally robust sales that come with the holiday season. Those plans include a North American tour for the 2014-15 Season; an extensive UK tour; an international tour to visit Moscow, Japan, and Monaco; and other worldwide opportunities. A three-city tour of Germany is also underway this month, visiting Leipzig, Cologne, and Frankfurt.

LET IT BE continues its successful run at the Savoy Theatre in London's West End, where it moved after kicking off at the Prince of Wales Theatre in the fall of 2012 and recouping its initial investment in just 18 weeks. Between the two London theatres, the show has played to over 250,000 people and grossed over $14 million. Let It Be is booked at the Savoy through mid-January 2014.

Direct from London's West End, where it continues its celebrated open-ended run, Let It Be features songs from The Beatles' greatest hits. Born as a West End production to celebrate the legendary band's 50th anniversary, Let It Be uses projections and surround sound to put audiences at the heart of The Beatles' meteoric rise from their humble beginnings in Liverpool's Cavern Club, through the heights of Beatlemania, to their later studio masterpieces with live performances of songs including "Twist and Shout," "She Loves You," "Drive My Car," "Yesterday," "Hey Jude," "Come Together" and, of course, "Let It Be."

The Broadway cast of Let It Be featured Graham Alexander, Roberto Angelelli, Jimmy Coburn, Tony Coburn, JT Curtis, Tyson Kelly, Chris McBurney and Luke Roberts, with John Korba and Daniel A. Weiss.

LET IT BE on Broadway is directed by John Maher, with music supervision by Maher, set design by Tim McQuillen-Wright, US lighting design by Jason Lyons, sound design by Gareth Owen, video design by Duncan McLean, original video designs by Darren McCaulley andMathieu St. Arnaud, costume supervision by Jack Galloway, and production and creative direction by Scott Christensen.

Tickets for Let It Be range from $79 - $135, with $35 general admission tickets available in the Balcony. Premium seating is available, starting at $175.
