Novelist and non-fiction writer, Bear Kosik, will have an entry in this year's Short Play Lab, part of the festivities at the Midtown International Theatre Festival: "Hiding Bodies," written and directed by Bear Kosik, featuring Cheryl Brumley.

People joke about it being a good week if they didn't have to hide any bodies. What do people have against hiding bodies? It can be a great source of physical and mental exercise, especially when your new roommate is a serial killer and gives you regular work, you know? Just think of the possibilities!

Mr. Kosik is the author of a work on non-fiction:
Restoring the Republic: A New Social Contract for We the People
An overview of political concepts essential to understanding the evolution of our political system. It describes the problems associated with too many citizens disconnected or loosely connected to the public sphere and the paths active citizens can take to restore the principles of the Founders of the Republic consistent with the knowledge, wisdom, and experience gained in the last 240 years.

And a futuristic novel:
The Secret History of Another Rome
Ranulf's life has been a quest for truth, not the half-truths of the Librarians and their Secret History, but an understanding of how action rather than static dogma is the path to the future. Guided by mysterious strangers from another time and his own innate curiosity, Ranulf searches for this understanding. Why do the Librarians hide facts from their ruler? What will Ranulf do as he gradually uncovers the truth? How will he respond when he finally understands?
