"American Idol" fans get ready! This Saturday, July 18th guests at Bay Street Theatre's Summer Gala Benefit Bash will have the opportunity to bid on tickets to the 2010 "American Idol" Finale in Los Angeles and tickets to this summer's "American Idol LIVE Tour" at Nassau Coliseum as part of the Live "Fantasy" Auction.

The Summer Gala Benefit Bash, taking place on the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor, promises to be an exciting evening as guests go "Sailing Back to the 60's" with special guest Lesley Gore (60's hit maker of "It's My Party"), entertainment including performances from "Hair", a 60's dance medley, cocktails, dinner and dancing to the music of the Denice Given Band.

Other items in the ever-popular Silent and Live "Fantasy" Auction include tickets to the eagerly anticipated opening night of "The Addams Family Musical" with Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth, including a stay in a luxury suite at the Helmsley Park Lane Hotel; a chartered cruise on the 75' classic yacht "America"; 4 Yankee tickets in the Delta Sky Box suite directly behind home plate; and a walk-on in Bay Street's production of "Dames at Sea". The fab findings continue with items including a Luella handbag from Gwyneth Paltrow, a walk-on in the hit FX series "Damages"; tickets to Morphoses Ballet at NY City Center, photographs by Joe Pintauro, original art from Lincoln Center Theater poster artist Jim McMullan, Haim Mizrahi and Peter Dayton; jewelry from Vera Wang, a children's birthday party for 12 at Bay Burger, a catered dinner party for 8, Broadway tickets and backstage tours to "Mary Poppins" and "The Lion King", sporting experiences and much more!
The Summer Gala is the largest fundraiser of the year for Bay Street, a not-for-profit cultural arts organization, now in its 18th Season in Sag Harbor. "With ticket sales accounting for only 50% of our operating costs we count on the Gala to help us sustain our programming," says Managing Director Julie Fitzgerald. Funds raised from the Gala will support Bay Street's year-round offerings including the Summer Mainstage productions, the Comedy Club, Bay Street at The Parrish Art Museum programs, KidStreet, the Picture Show Classic Film Series as well as Educational Outreach Initiatives including Literature Live!, Summer College Internships, Theatre Camps for Kids and the Young Playwrights Program.

Sponsors for Bay Street's 2009 Summer Gala include Bridgehampton Florist, Channing Daughters Winery, Dan's Papers, Hamptons.com, Jewel of Russia Vodka, Party Rentals, lisa perry, Searles Graphics, Southampton Publick House, Sterling Affair Caterers and Suffolk County National Bank.
