With the rainy days of June behind us, East End businesses are certainly more than ready for the onslaught of vacationers looking for summer fun and new and exciting things to do. With that in mind, Bay Street Theatre has recently branched out to create new offerings in partnership with both The Parrish Art Museum and WLIU Radio.

While Bay Street has always worked with local businesses, such as its successful ‘Dinner & A Movie' deal with the American Hotel, these recent collaborations allow for additional new program offerings for audiences at Bay Street's Sag Harbor location and in Southampton at The Parrish Art Museum.

WLIU, a member of National Public Radio and Public Radio International, and Bay Street are thrilled to announce a new series to take place Tuesdays at 4pm at Bay Street. Beginning July 14, the series kicks off with the well-known voices of WLIU's Ed German and Brian Cosgrove. These hour-long live broadcasts from the Long Wharf in Sag Harbor will allow for audiences to see how a professional radio station records a live program, and will include an audience participation portion during some of the sessions. WLIU is one of the few remaining radio stations in the US committed to a strong program schedule of jazz, rhythm and blues, world music and music from Broadway. This makes for a synergistic programming opportunity with Bay Street. The broadcasts continue on July 21 with Bonnie Grice, July 28 with Ann Liguori, August 18 with Connie Conway, and August 25 with a host yet to be determined. One additional broadcast will take place on Saturday morning, August 1st at 11am where Tracie Hotchner's DOG TALK will be featured. Sponsored by Platinum Performance, Tracie will discuss the latest on dog and cat nutrition, followed by a Q&A and a book signing of THE DOG BIBLE & THE CAT BIBLE. Tickets for all broadcasts are $20 and available only through Bay Street.

‘Bay Street @ The Parrish Art Museum' kicked off last month with a successful sold out master class with guitarist G.E. Smith. Next up at the Parrish location is the first of two staged productions to be held in a cafe-style, 99-seat house, which will serve as a developmental second stage theater space. Motherhood Out Loud is a new American play, conceived by Susan R. Rose and Joan Stein, produced by Ms. Rose, Ms. Stein, Renee Landegger and Judith Resnick, and directed by Lisa Peterson. Written by more than 15 award winning writers, Motherhood Out Loud will have a special work-in-progress, 3-performance engagement as part of "Bay Street @ The Parish Art Museum" season with performances Thursday, July 30 thru Saturday, August 1st at 8pm.

Motherhood Out Loud celebrates the very personal, diverse, funny, and altogether extraordinary experiences that boldly expose the unabashed truths that unite us all. From stepmoms to single moms, from new moms to empty nesters, Motherhood Out Loud reveals with insight and humor, the raw emotions and rocky roads we travel in life. With an unprecedented collaboration of American writers from theater, television and film, and Tony Award winning producers, this is one not to be missed. Cast to be announced shortly. Motherhood Out Loud will take place at the Parrish, 25 Job's Lane in Southampton. All tickets are $40 and may be purchased through the Bay Street Box Office only at 631-725-9500.
