Bay Street Theatre is pleased to announce the Kids School Vacation Theatre Camp February 21-25 and April 18-22; 9 am - 3 pm daily. Back by popular demand, each week long session will include classes and games incorporating every aspect of theatre that includes acting, singing, performance and dance. Students will write and perform in their own mini-musical!

Last year Bay Street's Theatre Camp received rave reviews from both students and parents alike. One parent said, "You must know and feel how positively you all impact upon the kids involved and how grateful we are as parents to have our children guided through this kind of love and discipline and creativity."

The February camp will be led by Marcy McGuigan and Leslie Giammanco. McGuigan is a stage, television/video actress, singer, comedienne, educator and musician. Currently on the voice faculty at Pace University and New York University, McGuigan maintains two private vocal studios in NYC and Wells, Maine.

The April camp will be led by Debra Barsha, who is a professional teacher as well as Broadway performer and musician. She is the current pianist, singer and Assistant Conductor of Broadway's Jersey Boys. Beyond her performing talents, Barsha is also known for her songwriting, and she has penned a number of musicals for both children and adults alike. Barsha will have the students practice many of the dramatic arts including, singing, dancing, acting, improvisation, performance and more. "I tell the kids in theater class that there is no such thing as a mistake. It's one of the only places in their lives they will ever hear that. As long as you are in character, you are allowed to be and do anything you want!", says Debra.

Theatre Camp is recommended for children ages 8 to 12 years old. The cost for one-week is $350 per child. Students are required to bring a bag lunch and have a willingness to learn. Bay Street will provide the rest, including snacks. Class size is limited and fills up quickly. These camps sold out for the past two years so call Bay Street's Administrative Office at 631-725-0818 ext. 112 to sign up today.
