Bass Günther Groissböck will join the roster of artists appearing at the Met's 50th Anniversary at Lincoln Center Gala on May 7. Rolando Villazón and Ferruccio Furlanetto have both withdrawn from the gala due to illness.

All other casting remains as announced earlier in the season. Met Music Director Emeritus James Levine, future Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and Marco Armiliato will conduct the gala, a fully staged production featuring direction and scenic design by Julian Crouch, costume design by Kevin Pollard, and projection design by 59 Productions.
