Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum Celebrates Bronx Week's Environmental Day with 2 Outdoor Events

Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum will celebrate Bronx Week's Environmental Day on Saturday, May 21 with two outdoor events: their annual Bike Tour and an Owl Meet and Greet.

Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum's annual Bike Tour will focus on horticulture with visits to private gardens on City Island and public gardens in Pelham Bay Park. Park horticulturalist Scott Farrington will ride along as the expert. The Bike Tour, which runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., is free but registration is requested. Bartow-Pell's Owl Meet and Greet provides visitors with a unique opportunity to see rescued owls close up. Bobby Horvath of WINORR (Wildlife in Need of Rescue and Rehabilitation) will bring an assortment of owls for participants to meet, and will describe the rescue and rehabilitation process. The Owl Meet and Greet runs from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $10; $8 for members. Reservations are required; email info@bpmm.org or call 718-885-1461.
