The 82nd Street Barnes & Noble in New York City has announced its upcoming LGBT-related events for the month of April. They include: Probation, Extreme Actions: Barbara Hammer and Elizabeth Streb in Conversation, Robin and Ruby, and Ten Minutes From Home: A Memoir.

Thursday, Apr 1 Start: 7:00 pm
Probation
In Tom Mendicino's debut novel Probation, a so-called perfect marriage is turned upside down by an anonymous tryst at a roadside rest area and a journey into the dark side of self-discovery begins.

Monday, Apr 5 Start: 7:00 pm
Extreme Actions: Barbara Hammer and Elizabeth Streb in Conversation
Filmmaker Barbara Hammer, (Hammer!) an inspiration to queer, feminist and avant-garde artists, discusses memoir writing with choreographer Elizabeth Streb (Streb: How to Become an Extreme Action Hero), dubbed the Evel Knievel of dance.

Wednesday, Apr 7 Start: 7:00 pm
Robin and Ruby
K.M. Soehnlein, author of The World of Normal Boys, reads from Robin and Ruby, his new novel that captures the blurred line between friendship and love and the brilliant and fleeting twilight of youth.

Wednesday, Apr 28 Start: 7:00 pm
Ten Minutes from Home: A Memoir
Beth Greenfield, who has written about travel and gay and lesbian culture for Time Out magazine and The New York Times, explores a suburban New Jersey family -- her own -- and the struggle to come together after a shattering tragedy.
