Barbra Streisand's latest album PARTNERS already soared to No. 1 on Amazon.com, and now according to Billboard.com, the duets CD is projected to hit the top slot on the Billboard 200 by the end of this week (as of September 21). This would be Streisand's 10th No. 1 album on the chart.
Streisand is already in first place as the female artist with the most No. 1 albums, and if PARTNERS lands at the top of the heap when the list is announced next Wednesday, September 24, she will become the first artist with No. 1s in each of the last six decades.
PARTNERS was released by Columbia Records yesterday, September 16. The project features 12 new duets with world renowned male vocalists including Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé, Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds,Jason Gould, Josh Groban, Billy Joel, John Legend, John Mayer, Lionel Richie, Blake Shelton, Stevie Wonder and an one-of-a-kind virtual duet with Elvis Presley.
Streisand will continue her talk-show tour to promote the album tomorrow morning, September 18, on ABC's THE VIEW.
