Bad Film Fest Holds Free Screenings of Feature Films  ImageThe 1st screening by Bad Film Fest of exclusively feature films will commence Sunday, February 25, 11am - 7pm at Countdown Theater, 141 S. 5th St, Downstairs Office West, #2, (between Driggs and Bedford), Williamsburg, BK. Tickets are free and can be reserved in advance through BadFilmFest.com or CountdownTheater.com.

A small number of tickets will also be available at box office the day of the event.
Created as a celebration of low-budget, alternative, daring, experimental, underground works of art by artists of various skill levels, Bad Film Fest (and its companion event - Bad Theater Fest) has become the premiere venue for, "Trying out stupid sh*t". Co-founder Starr Kendall explains that the value of a "BAD" Film Fest is that, "Artists shouldn't be afraid to fail. Fearless creation is what leads to brillant discoveries. This festival encourages and welcomes bold projects."This all-day event is comprised of four feature-length films.

11am ZOETROPE (Bulgaria) Two robots - Primus and Decimus have to go through a labyrinth that is full of extraordinary objects. To find the right way or sometimes just to satisfy their curiosity, they examine and recover the stories of the objects.(Animated, runtime: 1:40)

1pmA NEW HOPE (UK) A modern retelling of Don Quixote, The New Hope tells the story of Dennis, who believes he is Obi Wan Kenobi and who sets out to find Ewan McGregor in order to prove it by defeating him in a duel.

3pmLA MANO(Michigan, USA)With their parents gone for the weekend, Javier and Gunner Garcia decide to throw a party in their absence. The party takes a turn for the worse when the hand of the Devil pays a visit. The Garcia brothers encounter ninjas, hotdogs, evil doctors, and manimals as they continue on their quest for answers.(Spanish w/ English subtitles, runtime: 1:35)

5pm"It's A Wondrous Life"(NYC, USA)Off his pills and on the run from Marie Guvment, Ronald Slayback shows up at the apartment of childhood friend, Trevor Jones, seeking shelter.Joseph Aniska and Larry Traiger are first time film makers and "It's A Wondrous Life" marks Perfectly Reasonable Productions' debut film.(runtime: 2:00)

"This is our first time showing just feature films," adds co-producer and Artistic Director, Shawn Wickens. In the past, It's just been easier to program several nights of ridiculous and intriguing short films.Though we still want to support those filmmakers making weird and wild feature films. Since these screenings are free, we hope so New Yorkers take a chance on these daring pieces."

Bad Film Fest is currently taking submissions of short films through BadFilmFest.com for a screening event in the Spring. Details about their next Bad Theater Fest event will be announced through their website and social media.

More about Countdown Theater: Created by internationally touring improvisors Kelly Buttermore and Justin Peters, Countdown Theater is a roaming, improv-focused pop-up arts space based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This current run of the temporary space will be open from Wednesday, January 10, 2018 through Sunday, January 21, 2018.
