As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Disney Channel is getting ready to return to East High one more time. A nationwide casting search has begin for a planned Disney Channel Original Movie, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 4, that will continue the story of the global sensation HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL - and introduce new East High Wildcats and their cross-town school rivals, the West High Knights.
It's been over ten years since the Wildcats first crowded the halls of East High School, singing of a new start, the status quo, and of course, the big game. Launching the careers of a then-unknown set of teenagers, lots has happened to the cast since the last film wrapped in 2008.
Much of the cast has continued in the musical tradition of the trilogy, taking on various roles in other musicals on stage and screen. In honor of the big news, we're checking in on the status of the original cast!
