Manhattan's beloved cabaret diva Baby Jane Dexter brings her sensational show, All About Love,to Metropolitan Room at Gotham for 2 encore performances on Friday, April 23 and Friday, April 30 at 7:30 PM.
Tackling the quixotic aspects of love, from woulda, coulda, shoulda and a few mountains in between, Baby Jane Dexter's brand new show dives full force into that which is real - and that which is fantasy. Long a beloved mainstay on the night club scene from Reno Sweeney to Carnegie Hall to her comeback at Eighty Eight's and her sold out runs at Metropolitan Room at Gotham, Ms. Dexter is always a force to be reckoned with. In doing so, she will sing from the catalogues of a potpourri of great songwriters including, Duke Ellington, Carole King, Stephen Sondheim, John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
Working again with her longtime arranger/musical director and Back Stage Bistro Award winner Ross Patterson and with Emmy winner Elissa Patterson as consultant, Ms. Dexter says, "This show is another exciting challenge filled with surprises that I look forward to sharing with audiences."
