Known to many audiences as the young forensic anthropologist Dr. Zack Addy on FOX's television series "Bones," actor Eric Millegan has a list of New York stage credits, including a run on Broadway in a revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar. After finishing in the world premiere of Harold & Maude: The Musical at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey, opposite Oscar winner Estelle Parsons, Millegan made a move out to Hollywood.
Los Angeles' cabaret club, Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's, welcomed Millegan in his west coast singing debut on December 2nd, allowing the musically trained actor to show off his comical side and vocal range in this one-night event.
With a background that includes the Encores! production of Hair at City Center in New York, under the direction of Kathleen Marshall, Millegan balanced out his cabaret performance with a sensible set of showtunes mixed amongst a couple timely holiday numbers. His charming personality, at times appearing slightly shy, kept the evening light hearted and extremely enjoyable. He was joined onstage by the always adorable Jenna Gavigan (Broadway's Gypsy opposite Bernadette Peters) and pianist Richard Callaci.
BroadwayWorld's own James Sims sat down with Millegan before the show to discuss his career in New York, including doing a workshop of the Broadway musical Spring Awakening, singing cabaret and his moving out to Los Angeles to work full-time on FOX's "Bones."
