When the thermometer goes way up and the weather is sizzling hot, it can only mean one thing - summer has arrived on the Great White Way! To celebrate today's arrival of the summer solstice, BWW presents our Top 10 favorite summer-themed show tunes for you to enjoy as you sizzle on the beach, sip a frozen margarita by the pool or even head to NYC to take in a Broadway show!
#1 - Walks along the Seine, laughing in the rain, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgard, and Amanda Seyfried recalled "Our Last Summer" in this moving rendition from the 2008 big screen adaptation of MAMMA MIA!
#2 - Summer loving happens so fast, especially when John Travolta's hunky Danny meets up with Olivia Newton John's gorgeous Sandy. Check out the iconic number, "Summer Nights' from the 1978 blockbuster film, GREASE.
#3 - Poor, lovable Olaf has no idea what really happens to snowmen in summer. Guess it's a true case of ignorance is bliss! Watch the hilarious number from FROZEN below!
#4 - Though it's Broadway run didn't last long (only 94 performances), 2005's GOOD VIBRATIONS still brought the California beach vibe to the Big Apple as the cast, featuring Sebastian Arcelus and Tituss Burgess, performed 'Fun Fun Fun' at Macy's Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade.

#9 - Audra McDonald stopped by 2011's short-lived "The Rosie Show" to perform the Gershwin classic, "Summertime". The following year, the songstress picked up her 5th Tony Award for her stirring performance as 'Bess' in the Tony-winning Broadway revival of PORGY AND BESS!
#10 - Poor Anna Kendrick was stuck with a gay midget named Karl, playing Tevye and Porgy for a full "Summer in Ohio", in the recent big screen adaptation of Jason Robert Brown's THE LAST FIVE YEARS. Listen to the lyric video!
