"So Ya Wanna Be a Broadway Star?," a BroadwayWorld TV exclusive series, is teaming up with musical theatre songwriting duo KINOSIAN & BLAIR. Kinosian & Blair will be writing the 11 o'clock number to a musical adaptation of a 1980s cult television hit that series lead, Micki Manuel Minnelli, is auditioning for!
Joe Kinosian (music and book) and Kellen Blair (lyrics and book) met in the BMI Musical Theatre Writing Workshop in 2008 and have been collaborating ever since.
Murder For Two, their award-winning murder mystery musical comedy, made its off-Broadway debut at Second Stage Uptown (before transferring to a commercial run at New World Stages) earning nominations from the Drama League, Outer Critics Circle, and Drama Desk Awards. The show's world premiere took place at Chicago Shakespeare Theater in 2011 and was awarded the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Musical in Chicago. The show is currently touring around the country.

They're proud members of ASCAP and the recipients of the 2013 ASCAP Foundation Mary Rodgers / Lorenz Hart Award. They're currently in development on several new musicals, including The More Things Change, a backstage musical comedy about two middle aged actors battling to set the record straight about their shaky romantic past.
"So Ya Wanna Be a Broadway Star?" Is an awesomely awkward comedic satire that follows Micki Manuel Minnelli (Jamison Daniels), a "You Tube Celebrity"over night, as he searches for stardom wherever he can find it. A German documentary team follows him around on his daily journey to become the next Broadway Star with his fan girl/make-up artist Sandy (Patricia McCarthy) forever by his side. But will he become famous or infamous? Does he even know the difference?
