Now in its 16th season, Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook continues to expand its scope celebrating the best in American singing and songwriting. Featured over the weekend was revered composer, lyricist, and librettist Michael John LaChiusa- returning to American Songbook after his triumphant debut a decade ago. Known for his acclaimed Tony-nominated musicals Marie Christine and The Wild Party, his recent epic musical adaptation of Giant flourished at the Public Theater.
