TV: The Cast of KINKY BOOTS Raises Up Broadway In Bryant Park

The best of Broadway will be performing FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park 2016' - a lunchtime series that continued this week, July 28 on the Bryant Park Stage. Hosted by LITE FM's on-air personalities, the 16th annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances will run through Thursday, August 11.

This Thursday's show included a joyous performance by the current cast of Kinky Boots. Cast members for the event included, John Jeffrey Martin, Alan Mingo, Jr., Nick Rashad Burroughs, Fred Odgaard, Robert Pendilla, Kevin Smith Kirkwood, Hernando Umana, and Mia Gentile performing the numbers, "Step One", "The History of Wrong Guys", and "Land of Lola."

Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots takes you from a gentlemen's shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan. Charlie Price is struggling to live up to his father's expectations and continue the family business of Price & Son. With the factory's future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos.
