BroadwayWorld confirmed earlier today that Hamilton will be heading uptown next season! Lin-Manuel Miranda's newest musical, which opened to rave reviews last week, will arrive on Broadway this summer at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. The show will start previews on July 13th and will open on August 6th. This will mark a return to the Richard Rodgers for Lin-Manuel Miranda, whose IN THE HEIGHTS played the same theatre. Hamilton is produced on Broadway by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman and The Public Theater.
The world premiere production of Hamilton, inspired by the book "Alexander Hamilton" by Ron Chernow, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and directed by Thomas Kail opened February 17, 2015 at the Public Theater. The show is set to run through May 3rd at the Public Theater.
