Today we bring you Linda Lavin, nominee for Best Actress in a Play for The Lyons.
Linda Lavin has previously appeared at the Kennedy Center in "Follies" and at Lincoln Center Theater in "Other Desert Cities" as well as "The Sisters Rosensweig" (Broadway) and "The New Century" (Drama Desk Award; Off-Broadway). Her numerous Broadway credits include "Collected Stories" (Tony nomination), "Hollywood Arms," "The Tale of the Allergist's Wife" (Tony nomination), "The Diary of Anne Frank" (Tony nomination, Drama Desk Award), "Gypsy," "Broadway Bound" (Tony Award, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Helen Hayes awards), "The Last of the Red Hot Lovers" (Tony nomination), "It's a Bird…It's a Plane…It's Superman," and "A Family Affair." Her off-Broadway credits include: "Cakewalk," "Death Defying Acts"; "The Mad Show," "Oh, Kay!" (Theatre World Award) and "Little Murders" (Outer Critics Circle Award). She has appeared in regional theatres in "Finishing the Picture," "Collected Stories," "Doubt," "Rabbit Hole" and "Driving Miss Daisy."
The Tony Awards will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from the Beacon Theatre, on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 10, 2012.
