Surf the Musical, the feel-good production featuring the songs of The Beach Boys, is now open at the Showroom at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. BroadwayWorld brings you highlights from the show below!

Celebrating its world premiere with a star- studded red carpet and party, Surf the Musical – directed by Rock of Ages’ veteran Kristin Hanggi – now exclusively plays eight shows per week in Las Vegas. The sold-out opening night featured celebrity guests and Vegas headliners such as: American Idol alum Taylor Hicks, Carrot Top, Frankie Moreno, singer Debbie Gibson, Nathan Burton, Chippendales, the cast from Tony & Tina’s Wedding, Mo5aic, Comedy Hypnotist Marc Savard, BMX and reality star Ricardo Laguna, singer Josh Strickland (Peepshow), Rock Star Artist Michael Godard, Thunder from Down Under and Marissa Jaret Winokur (Dancing with the Stars, Hairspray on Broadway).

Music-lovers of all ages revel in the onstage sparkle of the big waves, as Surf the Musical places a company of sun-tanned performers, along with dazzling dance moves, incredible scenery and fun costumes center stage. The production rocks the audience with legendary beach songs, as they tell a story of love and fun, set in the nostalgic, happy times of the 1960s Southern California beach community.

Surf the Musical comes from an all-star creative team, including Broadway’s hottest director, Kristin Hanggi and choreographer to the stars, RJ Durell. The show also features 136 of the world’s thinnest bezel 60-inch class monitors in a wall installation, courtesy of Sharp Electronics Corporation, that delivers unparalleled brightness and quality, which provide a unique take on the sets and design. With the years of experience and unmatched talent, as well as Sharp’s brilliant technology, this team has assembled a production that will impact audiences on every level—sight, sound and emotion.

Tickets are priced at $64, $84, $104, $144, excluding taxes and fees and can be purchased in person at the Planet Hollywood Showroom Box Office, online at www.surfthemusical.com and www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at (866) 633-0195.
