2009 promises to be a historical and exciting year filled with lots of hope, change and community service. To encourage ever greater levels of service throughout the country, MySpace and Katalyst Media, a production company co-founded by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, teamed up with celebrities to record their personal pledges of service.
The moving pledges illustrate how they will help make the nationwide change, inspired by President-elect Barack Obama, a reality.
The Presidential Pledge videos feature some of today's most prominent names in the entertainment industry including Aaron Eckhart, Alyssa Milano, Anthony Kiedis, Archie Kao, Ashlee Simpson, Brittany Snow, Bryce Dallas Howard, Courteney Cox, Dakota Fanning, David Arquette, Eva Longoria, Eva Mendes, George Lopez, Gina Gershon, Hart Bochner, Hayden Panetierre, Hill Harper, Ioan Gruffudd, Jaime Pressly, Jason Bateman, Jenna Elfman, Joel Madden, Joel Schumacher, John Singleton, Josh Groban, Julia Ormond, Kat Dennings, Kenna, Kerry Washington, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Zegers, Laura Linney, Lucy Liu, Marissa Tomei, Matt Dallas, Melissa Leo, Michael Strahan, Michelle Trachtenberg, Molly Sims, Nicole Richie, Rex Lee, Rhona Mitra, Rita Wilson, Rumer Willis, Sarah Wayne Callies, Sean P. The videos convey personal, touching and even humorous ways in which the entertainment industry plans to give back.
