SOPHIA'S FALL is an intense musical journey chronicling the final acts of creation through the eyes of Sophia, the mother angel who saved Adam and Eve from Lucifer and his fallen demons. An epic love story, SOPHIA'S FALL is about the triumph of love over justice and the battle that rages inside each of us. A four-piece rock band and fluid, modern dance choreography round out a dark, tuneful score. SOPHIA'S FALL is an official selection of the 2008 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

In this segment of SOPHIA'S FALL's Road to NYMF, Danielle Erin Rhodes, "Sophia" in Sophia's Fall, gives a guided tour of the show's history and the places in New York where it has lived and breathed in the past. Danielle also gets a sneak preview of new rock arrangements of the songs, and hears a few things that surprise even a veteran. Jason Summers talks about the artistic challenges of the production, where he has come from personally with the show, and what to expect in September when Sophia's Fall opens. Costume designer Hop Nguyen works fabricating the costumes from Chad Beatty's concept art. Appearing in this segment are Danielle Erin Rhodes ("Sophia"), Jason Summers (Director) and Hop Nguyen (Costume Designer). Video and narration by Benjamin M. Birney (Composer/Producer).

The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Benjamin Birney Productions Alpha, LLC present SOPHIA'S FALL: The forgotten story of the Goddess in Creation. Music and Lyrics by Benjamin Birney, Book and Lyrics by Rob Seitelman, Directed and Choreographed by Jason Summers with Musical Direction by Mary Ann Ivan. Design duties for SOPHIA'S FALL will be handled by Lisa Weinshrott (Lighting Design), Eugenia Furneaux-Arends (Set Design) and Hop Nguyen (Costume Design).

SOPHIA'S FALL runs September 18th at 8:00pm, September 19th at 1:00pm and 4:30pm, and September 20th at 9:00pm at 37 Arts Theatre (450 W. 37th Street).
