The Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical Jersey Boys officially celebrated 10 record-breaking years on Broadway this weekend at the August Wilson Theatre, and oh, what a celebration it was.
At the curtain call, former cast members and members of the creative team joined the cast on stage and took bows for their work bringing joy to over 4.7 million audience members over the last 10 years. A representative from the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment also presented a Mayoral Proclamation to recognize the extraordinary economic impact Jersey Boys has had on New York City. Since opening on Broadway on Sunday, November 6, 2005, Jersey Boys has been seen by over 23 million people worldwide. It is currently playing in New York, Las Vegas (recently named the longest running Broadway musical in Las Vegas history), London, in cities across North America on national tour and across the UK on national tour.
