Jennifer Leigh Warren made her mark on the New York stage scene in an off-Broadway musical with B-movie roots that quickly turned into a timeless cult classic, Little Shop of Horrors, as one of the original Urchins, Crystal. After performing in the Alan Menken and Howard Ashman tuner, Warren made her Broadway debut in Big River, as Alice's Daughter.
Absent from Broadway in recent years, Warren has found her niche entertaining Los Angeles audiences on stage in productions including three turns with Reprise! Broadway's Best long running series as well as in cabaret clubs, including Upright Cabaret, in West Hollywood.
Warren is also a newly tapped member of the renowned singing group, The 5th Dimension, known for such songs as "Up, Up and Away" and "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In." With an upcoming one-woman show at Mark's Restaurant in Los Angeles, as part of Upright Cabaret's One Night Stands, Warren busy doing her thing in he music industry, but remains eager to keep the acting dream alive.
BroadwayWorld's James Sims recently sat down with Warren at Mark's Restaurant to talk about her experience working with the late Howard Ashman, struggling for roles on Broadway and singing her heart out on the cabaret stage.
