Melora Hardin and Gildart Jackson were asked by famed independent film agency Cinetic to be one of the first feature films released and distributed over the internet with their new motion picture, YOU. Melora spoke with BWW TV about creating this very personal film.
YOU is a love story. It spans 21 years, bouncing around in time, creating a kind of family quilt that wraps around a father as he struggles to overcome the grief of losing his beloved wife and raise their daughter alone. A coming-of-age journey for both the father and his daughter, You is filled with the magic of life and love and family.
Miranda (Melora Hardin of The Office, Hannah Montana: The Movie and 17 Again) and Rawdon (Gildart Jackson of Charmed and Providence) are meant to be --soulmates -- basking in the bliss of their newborn daughter, Quincey. But when Miranda dies suddenly, Rawdon is left to raise Quincey on his own, and by keeping Miranda alive in his imagination he is both helped and hindered in
moving on. Quincey as a 20 year old is played by Allison Mack (Smallville) and the women that enter Rawdon and Quincey's lives are played by Brenda Strong (Desperate Housewives), Amy Pietz (Caroline in the City) and Joely Fisher ('Til Death).
