Following appearances in Thou Shalt Not, The Pajama Game, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, and two separate concerts, Harry Connick Jr. returns to Broadway this season for the sixth time. This time around, the crooner takes on the classic songbook of one of America's most respected songwriters, Cole Porter.
"I take everything I do very seriously, and I realize how lucky I am to be here. When you tangle with someone like Cole Porter, and you do a show dedicated to him and go onstage and sing his songs... that's like getting in the ring with Joe Louis. You're really dealing with some heavyweight stuff. It's like doing a Shakespeare play. You have to approach it with great respect and caution. That's what makes this special. I'm singing this man's songs and he is other-worldly. I have the utmost respect for him."
watch as Harry tells us all about why he can't wait to return to a Broadway stage, how he chose his setlist, and so much more!
