West 44th Street became the hottest block on Broadway in Fall 2012 when celebrity chef Guy Fieri opened his new restaurant Guy's American Kitchen & Bar right next door to Broadway's Best Party, Rock of Ages. A bond between the show's rocking cast and this bona fide rock star of the culinary world was inevitable, and on Tuesday night, Guy Fieri made his one-night-only Broadway debut in a walk-on role at Rock of Ages! Already buddies with the cast, Guy received the royal backstage treatment at the Helen Hayes Theater while the crew prepped him for his rock star stage debut as "Guy, the Bourbon Room Chef".
The music that ignited a generation is heating up Broadway in ROCK OF AGES. The classic rock love story of the decade erupts into Broadway's Best Party, all to the sounds of such feel-good, sing-out-loud songs as "Every Rose Has Its Thorn", "I Wanna Know What Love Is", "Here I Go Again", "Don't Stop Believin" and more. Currently #56 on the list of longest-running Broadway shows in history, Rock of Ages continues to sell out performances in its fourth year, recently served its one-millionth customer and has broken the Helen Hayes Theatre Box Office Record five times.
In addition to being a bona fide Broadway hit musical, Rock of Ages is currently rocking London's West End; is on its Second U.S. National Tour; hit the silver screen in June 2012 as a major motion picture starring Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta-Jones; and opens a sit-down production at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas this month. Furthermore, the show was a runaway success in Toronto, Australia, and its 60-city First National Tour, and has licensed productions in several additional countries, including Korea and Japan.
