Composer and lyricist Georgia Stitt, along with a group of Broadway friends, is gearing up for an outdoor concert in West Hollywood on July 7th presented by Ryan Black's 88's Cabaret.
BroadwayWorld's own James Sims visited Stitt along with Jesse Tyler Ferguson,Julie Garnye and Jeffrey Landman as they rehearsed for the upcoming show.
Having released her debut CD "This Ordinary Thursday" last year, Stitt is now hard at work putting together a second album and two musicals, both of which she presented during the recent Festival of New American Musicals in Southern California.
Aside from composing stage musicals, Stitt has also dabbled in the world of television, working as the vocal coach on NBC's "Grease: You're The One That I Want" and as the production music coordinator on ABC's "Once Upon A Mattress" starring Tracey Ullman and Carol Burnett.
Stitt worked on Broadway as an assistant/associate conductor for various productions such as 2003's Little Shop of Horrors revival and Encores! Can-Can starring Patti LuPone. Other credits include Broadway Cares "Home For The Holidays" CD and Susan Egan's solo albums "CoffeeHouse" and "Winter Tracks."
Some of the "friends" scheduled to perform at Stitt's upcoming show are Susan Egan, Ferguson, Jai Rodriguez,Jenna Leigh Green and Chad Doreck.
