Jordan L. Mott, Middle School 22 is represented in the Fidelity FutureStage program by the selected play, Rollin In Gold. We gave the students a portable FLIP video camera to give us their view of the creative process. As they were able to film themselves, the FLIP video footage allows you to see and hear the excitement and challenges of putting on a show in their own words and unique perspective.

Playwright Stephen creates a comic yet emotional story of two friends who find that their lives and friendship change when one of the boys family members find sudden fame and wealth. Student actors, Gabriel, James, Karishma, Grace and Joel bring the story and characters to vivid life. Rollin In Gold also highlights the work of understudies, Abigail and Syed, assistant director Zenaida and stage manager Ashley.

Fidelity FutureStage enables over 600 NYC students from 10 different public schools to get a real view into the world of Broadway theater. Students learn firsthand from industry professionals about acting, playwriting, directing and all the behind-the-scenes production. They also attend Broadway shows and each student writes a 10-minute play. Ultimately, one play from each school is chosen and performed by the students at New World Stages this June.
