TV: Fidelity FutureStage Finale Performance of the Philippa Schuyler Middle School for the Gifted Play 'JUST BE YOURSELF, I CAN BE THAT 2'

Philippa Schuyler Middle School for the Gifted and Talented is represented in the Fidelity FutureStage program by the selected play, Just Be Yourself, I Can Be That 2.

Student playwright Erica has created a fast and funny play that tells the story of unrequited love, happy moments shared by friends and the importance of being yourself. The play's actors, Taiwo, Joaquin, Bethany, Shantoi and Erica bring all the action and humor to vivid and very humorous life. Understudies for the play are Christina, Alex, Justin, Kyle and Nala.

Fidelity FutureStage enables over 600 NYC students from 10 different public schools to get a real view into the world of Broadway theater. Students learn firsthand from industry professionals about acting, playwriting, directing and all the behind-the-scenes production. Over the past seven months, students have met Kathleen Marshall (GREASE!), Lin-Manuel Miranda (In The Heights), Chazz Palminteri (A Bronx Tale), Roger Bart (Young Frankenstein), Charles "Roc" Dutton (The Piano Lesson) and more. One play from each participating school was selected for the Fidelity FutureStage finale, marking an unparalleled New York theatrical debut for the students.
