The High School of Arts and Technology at MLK is represented in the Fidelity FutureStage program by the selected play, Sacrifices For Life.

In Sacrifices For Life the playwriting team of Carissa and Stephany create the dramatic story of two friends who must face the painful fact that they might have put a third friend in danger by their selfish actions. Jennifer, Carissa, Charlie, Ulices and Lissette make up the talented cast of student actors. The play also highlights the assistant directing work of Eric, stage management by Aram and the understudies, Akaisa and Anisha.

Fidelity FutureStage enables over 600 NYC students from 10 different public schools to get a real view into the world of Broadway theater. Students learn firsthand from industry professionals about acting, playwriting, directing and all the behind-the-scenes production. Over the past seven months, students have met Kathleen Marshall (GREASE!), Lin-Manuel Miranda (In The Heights), Chazz Palminteri (A Bronx Tale), Roger Bart (Young Frankenstein), Charles "Roc" Dutton (The Piano Lesson) and more. One play from each participating school was selected for the Fidelity FutureStage finale, marking an unparalleled New York theatrical debut for the students.
