TV: Fidelity FutureStage Behind the Scenes with Forest Hills High School's 'IN YOUR HEAD'

Forest Hills High School is represented in the Fidelity FutureStage program by the selected play, In Your Head. We gave the students a portable FLIP video camera to give us their view of the creative process. As they were able to film themselves, the FLIP video footage allows you to see and hear the excitement and challenges of putting on a show in their own words and unique perspective.

In Your Head tells the inspired story of one boy's battle with his inner ID and that ever present emotion, Hope. The talented cast of Forest Hills High students, Alex, Joana and David, bring playwright Sarah's comic production to vivid life with the support of understudies, Nathan, Jaclyn and stage managers, Moemu and Rodney.

Fidelity FutureStage enables over 600 NYC students from 10 different public schools to get a real view into the world of Broadway theater. Students learn firsthand from industry professionals about acting, playwriting, directing and all the behind-the-scenes production. They also attend Broadway shows and each student writes a 10-minute play. Ultimately, one play from each school is chosen and performed by the students at New World Stages this June.
