The live production of GREASE LIVE, from FOX, Paramount and producer Marc Platt, made TV history by earning a total of ten EMMY AWARD nominations this year, the most nominations ever received for a live musical. At last night's Creative Emmy Awards presentation, the broadcast picked up an Emmy for Outstanding Special Class Program, Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control For A Limited Series, Movie Or Special, an Emmy for Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction For A Variety Special and David Korins picked up an Emmy for Outstanding Production Design For A Variety, Nonfiction, Event Or Award Special.

The live broadcast also earned Emmy noms for Event Or Award Special, Outstanding Casting For A Limited Series, Movie Or Special, Outstanding Costumes For A Variety, Nonfiction Or Reality Program (William Ivey Long), Outstanding Directing For A Variety Special (Tommy Kail), Outstanding Hairstyling For A Multi-Camera Series Or Special, Outstanding Makeup For A Multi-Camera Series Or Special (Non-Prosthetic), and Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Variety Series Or Special.
