Nothing is more exciting than the anticipation of a brand new original musical about to open on Broadway. And nothing could be more, let's say, crap-tastic than a brand new original musical getting the plug pulled just two weeks shy of it's Broadway bow. Such was the case for the long awaited Steve Jobs vs. Bill Gates themed tuner, NERDS.
Well, we at Broadway Sessions simply couldn't stand being robbed of this hysterical gadgety goodness, so we put the Nerd signal high in the air and assembled the cast of the would be Broadway show last week to celebrate what should have been. Led by Tony Nominee and current Hamilton star, Rory O'Malley and Bryan Fenkart the cast performed songs from the show as well as played a rousing game of "Apples to Windows" (our completely insane rip off of the Apples to Apples board game) and of course ending in a signature "Shloppy Plot Shynopsis" leaving us all feeling just like we had seen the show on the Great White Way, well almost. Enjoy and here's to the nerd in all of us.
