The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Bring It On: The Musical will be produced by Ghostlight Records and available on Back Lot Music, and available for digital download on iTunes now and in stores October 16, 2012. The cast of Bring It On recorded the album at MSR Studios in New York City on August 9, 10 and 16, 2012 under the direction of Album Producers Alex Lacamoire, Tom Kitt and Kurt Deutsch.

Direct from a 13-city national tour, the limited Broadway engagement of Bring It On: The Musical began preview performances on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at The St. James Theatre (246 W. 44th Street) and officially opened on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. After opening to widespread critical acclaim, the show – which was scheduled to end its limited run on Sunday, October 7, 2012 – is now extended through Sunday, January 20, 2013.
Uniting some of the freshest and funniest creative minds on Broadway, Bring It On: The Musical is inspired by the Bring It On film and features an original story by Tony® Award winner Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), music and lyrics by Tony® Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (iN THE HEIGHTS), music by Pulitzer® and Tony® Award-winning composer Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), lyrics by Broadway lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity) and music supervision by Tony® and Grammy® Award winner Alex Lacamoire (iN THE HEIGHTS). The production is directed and choreographed by Tony® Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (iN THE HEIGHTS).
