KADM Productions has released the official trailer for the New York City premiere of THE GIRL WHO JUMPED OFF THE HOLLYWOOD SIGN, a solo show written and performed by South Australian theatre maker Joanne Hartstone. Featuring songs composed for Hollywood's brightest stars-Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Jean Harlow, and more-this play with music takes audiences on a nostalgic journey through the Golden Age of Hollywood from a whole new perspective. Previews began on Tuesday, January 2nd and will the show will run through Sunday, January 21st at Theater for the New City in Manhattan. Set in 1949, THE GIRL WHO JUMPED OFF THE HOLLYWOOD SIGN tells the story of aspiring actress Evie Edwards, who we meet standing on the 50-foot H, looking down at the lights of Los Angeles and the Dream factory know as Hollywood. She has only ever wanted one thing: to be a star. The only problem? No one has ever heard of her. Spanning over 30 years through the Golden Age of Hollywood, The Great Depression, and World War II, this play delves into the hopes and disappointments of the ever-fickle and elusive Hollywood dream.
