TV Exclusive: Arielle Jacobs, Lisa Howard, Alexander Gemignani & More Sing the Songs of Jill Abramovitz!

Broadway's Future Songbook Series -- presented by Arts and Artists at St. Paul -- just presented the songs of award-winning lyricist Jill Abramovitz. Produced and hosted by John Znidarsic, the concert featured performances by: Arielle Jacobs (Wicked), Lisa Howard (It Shoulda Been You), Alex Gemignani (Sunday in the Park With George), Jessica Vosk (Fiddler on the Roof), Kate Wetherhead (Clever Little Lies), Kevin Pariseau (Legally Blonde), Dana Steingold, F. Michael Haynie (Dogfight), Michael Winther (33 Variations).

The evening featured the music of Brad Alexander, Joy Sun, Aron Accurso and Anselmi. Laura Pietropinto directed with musical direction by Aron Accurso and Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf on cello.

Abramovitz is a contributing lyricist on Broadway's It Shoulda Been You (composer, Barbara Anselmi). She is the lyricist/co-bookwriter of The Dogs of Pripyat (composer, Aron Accurso; co-book writer, Leah Napolin, based on the play by Napolin), which garnered the Weston Playhouse New Musical Award, the Jerry Bock Award, was a NAMT selectee and was part of Goodspeed's Festival of New Artists. She is also the lyricist of TheatreworksUSA's Martha Speaks (book by Kevin DelAguila, music by Brad Alexander) and the lyricist/book writer for Bread and Roses (music by Brad Alexander, based on the film).
