Upright Cabaret, the popular Los Angeles theatrical showcase featuring an eclectic mix of artists from stage, screen and the recording world, will present Broadway star Eden Espinosa as she debuts her solo show, Eden Espinosa- ME, in New York City. The show will be held at Joe's Pub, beginning Sunday, March 22 through Tuesday, March 24. In this sneak peek video watch as the Upright Boys talk to ME's director, Broadway's Billy Porter, as he gives BWW the inspiration behind the songs Eden will sing. Stay tuned for an exclusive chat with Eden Espinosa and James Sampliner coming up later this week, right here on BWW TV!

Espinosa is best known for her starring role as Elphaba in the Broadway, Los Angeles and San Francisco runs of Wicked. Espinosa will "shed the green" from her famous role in order to share a piece of herself in ME, singing songs that are close to her heart by artists who have inspired her. Espinosa's other Broadway credits include the title role in Brooklyn, as well as her starring role as Maureen in the final Broadway company of Rent. She also recently appeared in the title role of Flora, the Red Menace for Reprise Theatre Company in Los Angeles. She can be heard on such recordings as Hair (Actor's Fund Benefit recording), The Maury Yeston Songbook, Bright Lights, Big City, John McDaniel Live at Joe's Pub and Scott Alan's Dreaming Wide Awake.

Espinosa's show, which she first presented to sold out audiences at Upright Cabaret in Los Angeles last December, will be directed by Broadway and recording artist Billy Porter (Broadway: Miss Saigon, Grease, Five Guys Named Moe), with James Sampliner (Broadway: Legally Blonde, The Wedding Singer, Brooklyn) serving as Musical Director.

Upright Cabaret is produced by Hollywood's Chris Isaacson and Shane Scheel, seeks to bring young Broadway and young Hollywood together in an intimate live updated cabaret setting.
