The cast of BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL, inspired by their brilliant co-composer Tom Kitt & his musical arrangements for the film PITCH PERFECT, created a tribute to him with an a cappella mash-up of songs from BRING IT ON. Check it out below!

Bring It On: The Musical will play the final performance of its limited engagement on Sunday, December 30, 2012, after 21 previews and 173 regular performances at Broadway’s St. James Theatre (246 W. 44th Street). Direct from a 13-city national tour, Bring It On: The Musical began preview performances on Thursday, July 12, 2012, opened on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. Discussions for additional tour dates in the 2013-14 season are underway.

Uniting some of the freshest and funniest creative minds on Broadway, Bring It On: The Musical is inspired by the Bring It On film and features an original story by Tony® Award winner Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), music and lyrics by Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights), music by Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning composer Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), lyrics by Broadway lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity) and music supervision by Tony and Grammy® Award winner Alex Lacamoire (In The Heights). The production is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (In the Heights).

Led by newcomer Taylor Louderman as Campbell and Adrienne Warren (Dreamgirls) as Danielle, the cast features Ryann Redmond (Back Stage Garland, LA Ticketholder and BroadwayWorld Atlanta Award winner for her role in this production) as Bridget, Elle McLemore (Disney’s “Suite Life on Deck”) as Eva, Jason Gotay (Broadway’s Rising Stars and Rent) as Randall, Ariana DeBose (Hairspray, “So You Think You Can Dance”) as Nautica, Gregory Haney (Memphis) as La Cienega, Neil Haskell (9 to 5, “So You Think You Can Dance”) as Steven, Dominique Johnson as Cameron, Janet Krupin as Kylar, Kate Rockwell (Legally Blonde) as Skylar and Nicolas Womack as Twig, Calli Alden, Nikki Bohne, Dexter Carr, Shonica Gooden, Haley Hannah, Rod Harrelson, Casey Jamerson, Michael Mindlin, Adrianna Parson and Bettis Richardson. The cast also features some of the nation’s most skilled competitive cheerleaders with over 25 national and 50 team titles in gymnastics and choreography. Those members include Antwan Bethea, AJ Blankenship, Danielle Carlacci, Michael Naone-Carter, Courtney Corbeille, Dahlston Delgado, Brooklyn Alexis Freitag, Keith Gross, Melody Mills, David Ranck, Billie Sue Roe, ShelDon Tucker and Lauren Whitt.

Bring It On: The Musical premiered in a developmental production at the ALLIANCE THEATRE in Atlanta in early 2011 and launched a 13-city tour at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 30, 2011, which ended in Toronto on Sunday, June 3, 2012.

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Bring It On: The Musical, produced by Ghostlight Records and available on Back Lot Music, was released for digital download on iTunes on September 25, 2012 and in stores on October 16, 2012. The cast of Bring It On recorded the album at MSR Studios in New York City on August 9, 10 and 16, 2012 under the direction of Album Producers Alex Lacamoire, Tom Kitt and Kurt Deutsch.

Tickets are available at Telecharge.com (212-239-6200) and at The St. James Box Office, 246 W. 44th Street. The Performance Schedule is Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday at 2pm & 7:30pm, Thursday at 7pm, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm & 8pm and Sunday at 3pm. A limited number of $35.00 rush tickets (price includes $2.00 facility fee) are available for every performance, and can be purchased at the Box Office only, beginning at 10:00am the day of the performance. These rush tickets are available to all patrons and are cash only. There is a limit of 2 tickets per person.
