TV: Around the Broadway World 8/31 - Wow Factor from NY to OZ

This column was introduced last week - but in case you missed it - here's the gist...

You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who isn't familiar with YouTube and other online video websites which showcase on a daily basis the good, the bad and the ugly.  For several years now, BroadwayWorld has lead the theatrical community by providing regular Stage Tube videos featuring everyone from top Broadway and Hollywood celebs to kids barely out of diapers.  In this new regular column, I'll  be hand-picking videos from "Around the Broadway World" which will highlight noteworthy theater-related videos. From backstage to onstage - from Amateur to Professional - and from anywhere and everywhere in the world.

Craig Says: Thanks to Max for sending in this clip of Lizzie Klemperer singing "Missing You My Bill" from The Civil War. I think you'll agree that Lizzie kicks butt on this song. Craig Says: This video made me fall in love with Amanda as it plays into my love of puns and she definitely has a way with words... She's an Award winning lyricist who (for this song) collaborated with composer/pianist Brian Cimmet and performed this at the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, Feb 21, 2010. Her list of collaborators on other material is a mile long and has been performed by such stars as Lea Michele and Stephanie J. Block.

Craig Says: From "Down Under" - you won't want to miss this fun performance by BriAnna Bishop who was one of the finalists in Australia's Got Talent 2010. Here she is singing "Popular." But this is no ordinary solo performance. The "finale" of the number exploded with a cast of dozens on stage making it a big production number. Enjoy!

Craig Says: And lest you're still not convinced that this pre-teen delivers - here's her rendition of "The Prayer."

Craig Says: Making it's way around our message boards and facebook (and for good reason) is this 15 year old from the UK, Charlie Styles, performing the Shrek power ballad, "Who I'd Be" from a Tamworth Assembly Rooms concert.
