STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, took place just last week in Shubert Alley. Hosted by Tony nominee Sean Hayes and Mo Rocca, Broadway's best once again turned out for the annual performance - including Alyssa Fox, who performed "The Wizard and I" from WICKED.
Fox is a Dallas, TX, native who began her Wicked journey in San Francisco as the Elphaba understudy, and now makes her Broadway debut fresh off the national tour, where she was standby and lead Elphaba. Favorite shows include Who's Your Baghdaddy?, The Rocky Horror Show, Little Women and numerous concert performances.
The Broadway sensation, Wicked, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz...but from a different angle. Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another young woman, born with emerald-green skin, who is smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships...until the world decides to call one "good," and the other one "wicked."
