TV: ALADDIN and NEWSIES Stars Talk to Actors Connection's Performing Arts Campers

Broadway's Aladdin cast member Tia Altinay (Ensemble & Princess Jasmine Broadway Newsies star Adam Kaplan spoke to youth last week with an autograph signing to follow. This exclusive event is for Kids & Teens attending Actors Connection #1 on-camera Performing Arts Camp. Check out part one of their interview below!

In addition to meeting Broadway stars they also train with top Casting Directors including Jen Rudin (known for "Disney" castings), Eve Battaglia (Oscar-Nominated), Barry Shapiro (over 8,000 commercials cast), and more.

Walid Chaya, Associate Member of the Stage Directors Choreographers Society, directs the program.

The program features a jam-packed week of on-camera events for young actors, like having talent star in their own short film, act in different film and television styles, take a trip to a Broadway show, plus, a complimentary headshot session with professional NY Photographer Maria Wilson. It's the young actors ultimate dream-camp!

Up-and-coming talent also showcase with Talent Agents including CESD, Take 3 Talent, and Carson-Adler Talent Agency. Through our program talent may find representation or showcase to a casting director that could jump-start their acting career.

While the Performing Arts Camp is exclusive to the summer season, Actors Connection produces similar events, audition intensives, and on-camera classes year-round. It's our mission to inspire these youngsters, provide them with tools for success and connections with some of NY's most appreciated and talented professionals.

The advice Broadway stars Tia & Adam share with the youth is inspirational and educational, from subjects regarding "the biz" to "a day in the life". Summer camp is a monumental time in the lives of Kids & Teens and this event at our Performing Arts Camp is sure to be remembered.
