On November 1, 2012, Tye Blue, who has been listed as "Houston's Best Male Entertainer" for the past three years and just finished a Stellar run as Frank in Houston Grand Opera's production of Francesca Zambello's SHOW BOAT, released his mesmerizing debut solo album entitled Here. On the three track masterpiece, Tye Blue exposes listeners to his wide range of crooning skills, taking us on a Journey through his versatility as he sings in the styles of gospel, jazz, and showtunes.

Tye Blue's rich and magnetizing baritone instrument is radiantly featured in every song on Here. I am fond of each dynamic number; however, the sheer charisma and charm displayed on his performance of "Fever," written by Eddie Cooley and John Davenport and arranged by Shaun Smith is astoundingly breathtaking. It instantly became my favorite interpretation of the song. Likewise, Tye Blue's album closes with a soaring and entirely rephrased rendition of the iconic "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," written by Harold Arlen and strikingly arranged by Shaun Smith. Tye Blue's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" is exquisitely magical, displays musical genius, and incites in listeners a blissful euphoria. You have never heard the song sung like this, and you'll love every minute of it. Lastly, The opening track is one you may have never heard before, "A Song From Heaven Down to Earth." It is written by Shaun Smith and Jeff Ferguson and expertly compliments Tye Blue's gorgeous voice. It showcases his ability to be both endearing and strong in performance.

Tye Blue's Here. is guaranteed to be a CD you cling to for a fun and rousing pick me up or anytime you just want to hear amazing talent coming melodiously through your speakers. Moreover, Tye Blue has every ounce of star quality, talent, and personality that one needs to become an overnight sensation, so jump on the band wagon early. Then, you can tell all your Friends that you knew who he was before he was utterly famous.
