Hello, YOUNG'ns! (Tryin' out a new fan name... you dig?) Welcome to another week of YOUNGER shenanigans with Liza and the gang! After their special bonding moment last week, Charles and Liza get a little teensy bit more physical this week, raising hopes of an actual #CharlesandLiza pairing. But in true YOUNGER fashion, that's not before Liza and Kelsey pursue a Youtube duo to write their next book, while Diana falls for a construction worker, Liza and Josh don't do it 'cause.... well... you'll see, Bryce drops a shocking bombshell that'll definitely affect next week's festivities... and oh, yeah, Charles' wife enters the scene. I've said it before... I'll say it again: This can only spell trouble for Liza. Dig, dig, dig your hole. ;-) It's all ahead (or behind) on this week's recap, so if you're intrigued, read on, young man!

The A-Plot: Bryce attempts to convince Liza and Kelsey to pursue Youtube stars the Stoopid Girls as authors for Millennial's next publication. Eager to appease their new minority partner, Charles and Diana concede (though they're clearly not happy about it).

Kelsey and Liza seek them out at VidPop - a YouTuber convention (and yes, I checked - it isn't real... but there are YouTuber conventions... sorry, I'm old and never knew!)... and while it doesn't look like the two have any interest as a duo, there may be some luck with Taylor, who's apparently written a novel and looking to have it published, so she can rid herself of the Stoopid Girls persona.

Liza takes a liking to her... obviously. As she says, if the book hits, Taylor "can finally be who she really is and stop pretending every day." Sound like anyone you know, hmmm?

And I have to say, while it doesn't look like the book'll come to fruition with Empirical (Stupid Bryce... that was very rude!), I hope Liza continues to pursue this idea independently. I'd love to see it pan out, especially because Liza relates to this girl so well. Adds a whole 'nother layer to the story, doesn't it?

Maybe it can be another "Liza does something right" surprise that could soften the blow when she comes clean with her secret.

Or... What if Liza divulged her secret to Taylor?! That would be kinda awesome.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we'll get any real closure, as the writers veer off into a new subject at the tag end of that storyline... and now we're focused on Diana and Charles losing their jobs?! I mean, great, yes, 'cause it opens up a new arc for next week... but why does Bryce get a pass on essentially blowing off a client? Rrrgh...

Side note: I will say, though... Liza going after Bryce and calling him out is a little bit of her 40-year-old mama bear coming out. Nice work, writers!!

Bonus side note: LOVE the continuity with P Is for Pigeon. First mentioned in a staff meeting scene a couple of weeks ago, it's nice to see it developing, as that suggests we may actually get to see it through onscreen. (Can we meet Martha Quigley?!) I believe from the looks of next week's title, this isn't the last we see of the project either.

The B-Plot: Proving no one should mess with her, Diana gets into a spat with a plumber fixing the pipes in the neighboring apartment. But, as these things typically go in rom-com, they're really just masking their incredible lust for each other... and (predictably) end up in bed together.

Pretty much same old, same old. BUT I am curious to see where this could go. Definitely seems like the type of thing that could be covered over an arc, don't you think? (And she definitely wants him to come back... as she cleverly re-destroyed the plumbing!) If she gets serious with this guy, could that mean she'll back off of Charles... perhaps then, um... leaving him free for, say, someone ELSE? Hmmmm....

Sounds like a win-win. Go for it, Diana. I'm all in.

But Also: Josh and Liza won't have sex 'cause she's on her period. Wow, that sure worked out conveniently for her, considering, as we know from last week, she's contemplating staying in a relationship with him anyway. Another break, is it? Something tells me this thing, unfortunately, isn't gonna last much longer.

And definitely not if Charles has anything to do with it. At the opera (yes, Liza takes Diana's tickets and brings Josh, 'cause Trouty's getting busy with the construction worker), he and Liza share a moment with a dress that the cast just can't stop talking about. (OMG, though... that music, and Liza's face, as he zips her up!)

They totes share a moment as they walk to their seats, too. OMG a double whammy! We can tell Charles' reaction is clearly physical (made all the worse now that he's got Radha on his arm), but Liza's hiding yet another secret: Charles' job is in danger... and Charles has no idea. He thinks her secret's about their kiss/relationship, this is clearly not the end of Radha (question: why hadn't we heard of her before?), and all the while, Josh is completely oblivious! OMG this is too good!!!! Cannot. Wait. To. Tune. In. Next. Week.

Side note: I'm not sure how much I like that she's so hot for Josh after every encounter with Charles. It's like she has to prove to herself that Josh is the right guy. And if you have to prove that, is it really the right choice? Or... is she trying to make Charles jealous? Or is she suddenly turned on because of her interaction with Charles (and just using Josh 'cause he's her boyfriend?) I mean, if Charles is really the one you're turned on... doesn't that say it all? Hmmmm? And Liza's face when Josh says, "We can go to opera whenever you want"?! ROFL! Oh, Liza. How ya gonna get yourself outta this one?

Does Anyone Else Feel... Bryce is a complete a-hole? As Liza mentioned he's obvi rude, but IMO he's also extremely short-tempered and completely abusive of his power. He really doesn't care what people think... and not in the good way.

I'm honestly not sure if the writers meant to write him as a "guy you love to hate"-type (I mean, I'm sure Noah Robbins is a great guy, and that's just the portrayal... Dan Amboyer is, too... and his character was certainly a douche), but for me it worked.

I don't think the spectrum jokes are that funny... it just pisses me off. Of course, again, no disrespect, as I assume that was the writers' goal... but just... yeah. It worked. Get him out, and fast.

Even Charles said last week he was doubting hiring Bryce, now Liza's on board with her comment about him being rude, and something just tells me his "plan" isn't going to quite work out the way he wants it to. (Mainly 'cause I hear his arc is only four episodes, which means next week is his last). Oh, well.

What are your thoughts? Are you #Yay or #Nay on Mr. Reiger?

Line of the Night: "There's some construction in my building I need to... stay on top of." (Yes, I know it's not Liza's line... but seriously... how cleverly written and totally ROFL!)

So... what are your thoughts? Where do you think Liza's headed next? Let us know in the comments below... and we'll see you next week! 'Til then, as always, stay YOUNGER.
