Could it be holiday time already? Oh dear...must get going on those Hanukah gifts ASAP. Mommy Fail.
I honestly wouldn't have realized that it was time to start preparing my Thanksgiving Day Tofurkey if I hadn't received the following announcement from a little mouse named Angelina over at the Vital Theatre Company. It seems as though everybody's favorite ballet dancing rodent (sorry, A.) is back with an all-new show for the holidays. ANGELINA BALLERINATM THE VERY MERRY HOLIDAY MUSICAL begins performances on Saturday, November 19th at 3:30 pm. The show features the famous dancing mouseling and her friends from the series of books created by Katharine Holabird and illustrated by Helen Craig.
In ANGELINA BALLERINATM THE VERY MERRY HOLIDAY MUSICAL, Angelina and her friends are planning an absolutely, positively, spectacular holiday dance pageant. In fact, (according to Vital Theatre Company's press release) it will be the best in all of Mouseland! When a mix-up prevents the pageant from going on, Angelina and her friends must use their creativity to save the show. By working together, Angelina, Alice, Gracie, AZ, Marco and Angelina's little sister Polly discover the true spirit of the holidays. It's not about things you receive, but the holiday cheer you share.
ANGELINA BALLERINA THE MUSICAL is based on the CG-animated series, Angelina Ballerina The Next Steps on PBS KIDS®. Following the run of ANGELINA BALLERINA THE VERY MERRY HOLIDAY MUSICAL, Vital Theatre will once again present ANGELINA BALLERINA THE MUSICAL for audiences in New York City and its limited tour engagement throughout North America. And the best part? It's something to do while the kids are home from school! (For those of us not blessed with full time childcare).
GET TO THE POINT, MOM!
