Shenandoah Conservatory's popular web series The Dream Team returns for a second episode this past week. Picking up where we left off: we follow all of the kooky and familiar faces, like Freya Falkenstein's Nora Michaels and Emma Benson's eccentric Sierra Farris, but also discover new characters, like Will Westray's Chad Baker. Set at the big Halloween party of the year, things are bound to get a little crazy.
The Dream Team is an original series created by two Shenandoah University students in October of 2015, which has now garnered almost 10 thousand views on YouTube, over 160 subscribers, and upwards of 300 FaceBook likes. Each episode centers around a freshman theatre class living out their first year of college at the fictional Betsey Bell Conservatory.
Co-founder Emma Benson, who also co-stars, directs, and writes each episode says that her favorite part of the process is working with such great company.
"We wouldn't change anything about it, and it continues to be that. It's a very sacred process for us when picking who we wanted involved because it had to be someone we love. It derived from the fact of 'I can't believe we get to do this and with this group of people.'"
The Dream Team features Drew Becker (Luke Taylor), Emma Benson (Sierra Farris), Zachary Bigelow (Sam Stein), Taylor Bloom (Garrett Johnson), Freya Falkenstein (Nora Michaels), Kyle Mangold (CJ Luck), Shaila Murdock (Lana Vancamp), Emma Norville (Helen MacBozman), and Will Westray (Chad Baker) Written and Directed by Emma Benson. Direction and Cinematography by Stephen Dransfield. Co-created by Emma Benson and Morgan McDowell.
