Take a walking tour! Charleston offers many including historic tours featuring the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, pirates and Charleston architecture. For Halloween, be a little more daring and take a haunted tour. You will enjoy the ambiance of a bygone time with GHOSTS OF THE SOUTH. This stroll takes you into the heart of Charleston's haunted history. You might even see a few spirits at sites that have been featured on the History Channel and Ghost Adventures.

Another great destination in Charleston County is Kiawah Island. This island's plush semi-tropical foliage with old oaks and Spanish moss draping every bow, offers splendor and tranquility. There are exceptional activities designed for adults and families including kayaking, paddle-boarding and the Kiawah Island nature program.

The Sanctuary Hotel at Kiawah Island Golf Resort is a precious secluded gem on pristine white sand and ocean. It holds the distinction of AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five Stars with its grand staircases, intoxicating scent of lilies and luxurious but comfortable amenities. The Sanctuary allows one to unwind in total comfort. Lounge at the ocean's edge and watch dolphins skip alongside fishing vessels or watch deer graze on bluffs. To sooth, The Sanctuary Spa, rated Five Star by Forbes, provides deep tissue massages and facials along with treatments designed for both men and women.

For fine dining, The Atlantic Room at the tip of the island has breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and offers superb food with a southern flair.
